Racja. Pamiętasz spór o inwestyturę? Papieskie klątwy, różne krucjaty, w tym dziecięce? To przecież nie Kościół walczył, a ludzie, w tym dzieci. Kościół tylko to wszystko wymyślił: diabła, czarownice i niewiernych, w tym Młot na czarownice i wbijał tym ludziom brednie. A wierni to są ludzie z Kościołem związani. W ten sposób też na to spójrzmy.

Jeżeli gdzieś przed końcem XVII wieku zdarzało się, że istnienie czarownic było poddawane wątpliwościom to właśnie w KRK.(chociaż oczywiście było sporo jego przedstawicieli, którzy w czary wierzyli) Ale tam gdzie kościół instytucjonalny lub władza świecka były silne (a nie rządzili samowładnie różni drobni biskupi czy też książęta) polowania na czarownice praktycznie się nie zdarzały.

Zacytuję słowa pewnego hiszpańskiego inkwizytora, niejakiego Alonso Salazara z oficjalnego raportu dla przełożonych z początków wieku XVII (czyli w absolutnym maksimum polowań na czarownice):
